Anthony is a lifetime Ohioan, born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. He is a proud double Buckeye, having earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, magana cum laude, with minors in the Legal Foundations of Society and Communications from The Ohio State University in 2020, before graduating from the Moritz College of Law with his Juris Doctor in 2023.

Before law school, Anthony served as a Constituency Aide to Minority Leader Emilia Strong Sykes of the Ohio House of Representatives and as a Legislative Page for the Ohio Democratic Party. These experiences gave him an early understanding of how law and policy shape the lives of individuals and communities.

At Moritz, Anthony served as Student Body President of the Inter-Professional Council, representing over 3,300 professional students across six colleges: Law, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Optometry. In that role, he focused on building community and advancing advocacy. He spearheaded the annual Inter-Professional Drag Showcase and Fundraiser for the Kaleidoscope LGBTQ+ Youth Center and supported the introduction of Tri-Alpha, the national first-generation honor society, to Ohio State's campus. He also served as a Teaching Assistant for the course Engaging Polarized Groups, and assisted in creating a project that earned the first-ever Special Student Innovation Award from the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution. Upon graduation, Anthony received The Moritz College of Law Outstanding Service Award and the CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Trial Practice and Family and Divorce Mediation.

Prior to joining the Newby Law Office, Anthony was a Business Litigation Associate at Thompson Hine LLP, where he litigated breach of contract, membership disputes, fraud, trade secret claims, and other complex business torts in state and federal courts. His work contributed to successful summary judgment advocacy at the trial, appellate, and Ohio Supreme Court levels. He managed all phases of discovery, drafted pleadings and dispositive motions, represented clients at status conferences and mediations, and contributed to case strategy aligned with client goals.

Beyond his litigation practice, Anthony has maintained a deep commitment to pro bono service. Through the Legal Aid Society of Columbus's Tenant Advocacy Project, he provided representation and counsel to tenants facing eviction at Franklin County Municipal Court. Through Nationwide Children's Hospital's Lawyers for Kids program, he continues to support families navigating Medicaid, housing instability, domestic violence, special education rights, and record sealing.
